This is the DFSK E35 midi sized campervan. Why midi sized ? The E35 is only 4.5m long so shorter than even the Japanese imports and at 1,68m wide (Mirrors in) it really is a compact campervan. this is the first “all electric” campervan we will be building and unlike the other models that we will be offering the “Piccolo” will have up 166 mile range.

The conversion will be a simple side bench seat behind the drivers seat that can pull out in to a 6ft/1,8m long double bed and have lots of under seat storage, then at the rear of the conversion will be a wardrobe which will be around 2ft/60cm width. On the passenger side it will have a kitchen at the rear with 2 x ring gas hob & gas heating. It will also have fresh & waste water containers, mains hook up, lithium leisure batter and 150w solar panel.

We understand that some people will question “why gas” and the simple answer is that unless you are on mains hook up the electric options available at the moment are not really suitable for off grid camping. However we can offer a gas free van which would have an electric heater and electric hob but YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE ON MAINS for this. We know people have done induction hobs and heating from leisure batteries but they are limited in the length of time you can use them and we are not convinced.

The pictures of the conversion show the layout we intend to do and are actually pictures of a Mazda Bongo we used to build many years ago.   Range & Charging

  The DFSK EC35 can travel up to 166 miles¹ on a full charge. An indicator in the dashboard highlights the van’s remaining battery capacity, so you can plan your charging requirements. Equipped with CCS Type 2 charging, the DFSK EC35 can be charged at both fast and rapid charging points – the battery can be recharged to full in 6 hours using a 7kW charge point or to 80% in just 60 minutes using a rapid charger.

  Driver Conveniences

  Drivers of the DFSK EC35 benefit from a selection of modern driver conveniences including air conditioning, reversing sensors and camera, Bluetooth, DAB, and Android Auto™ and Apple car play.

  Warranty, Servicing & Roadside Assistance

  The DFSK EC35 comes with a 5 year/ 75,000 mile warranty, and the traction battery benefits from additional cover at 8 years/ 100,000 miles. All new DFSK EC35 vans come with 3 years inclusive roadside assistance supported by the AA. Servicing is required every 12 months/15,000 miles; this can be booked online and carried out at selected Halfords Autocentres nationally.
