In 2020 we decided we needed a camper to add to our range that was more like the Mazda Bongo’s we used to import and build many rear ago. Campervan sales have gone through the roof in 2020 but not everyone wants or needs a new fancy campervan and many just want a more car like vehicle that can be used daily but you can also use as a campervan.
The Serena is is 4.77m long and 1.73m wide and under 2m high and its small than the Toyota Alphard & Honda Elysions we also convert.
When we import anything from Japan we always make sure the mechanical side of things are compatible with European models and the Serena shares it MR20DE engine with 17 other models of which some of them are European cars such as the Renault Clio, Laguna, Safrane, Megane, Scenic and Nissan X-Trail, Qashqai, NV200 so no worries on getting parts.
For more general information please Click here and scroll down the the “3rd generation” We are currently importing models up to 2012
We keep the original seats so it stays as a 5 seater (4 x 3 point 1 x lap belt) The driver and passenger seat both swivel to face backwards to make a 4 place dinette and to make the 2 x single beds both the front seats and the 2 x single seats behind all fold down. The beds are made up up infill cushions and include a mattress topper.
The conversion at the rear is on both sides, on the drivers side it has a floor to ceiling units which incorporates the porty potty (included) and a wardrobe. On the passenger side this has a hob & sink, 25ltr compressor fridge, storage. On board fresh water tank, leisure battery and electrics are underneath the rear floor in clever lower storage compartment.
All models include 12v electrics, leisure battery and 80w solar panel. Mains electrics (£300) and a blown air heating system (£900) are available to order as extras.
A tailgate awning is also included in the price.
There are many different accessories available to personalise your campervan to suit your individual needs. With awnings, tow bars, roof rails, bike racks, solar panels and much more to choose from you will find an item to suit.
