Disclaimer. We have just bought the first Micro campers in Japan (October 25) and they will be shipped around to the UK and then we will convert them early 2026. We have done these types of campers before years ago so they are not knew to us. The pictures we use on here are a mix of rendered pictures and some of how they convert them in Japan just to give an idea of what is possible and ours will be based on something like this.
Conversion.
Our version will be similar to those in the pictures, it will have a single bed on the passenger side but will also retain its rear passenger seat so can still be used as a 3 seater car. The conversion will be on the drivers side and will have hob, sink, on board fresh water, electric water pump, leisure battery, split charge relay, solar panel, curtains/internal window blinds, pop up elevating roof, porty potty all as standard and mains hook up & blown air heating are available as an upgrade package.
Base vehicle.
The Daihatsu Wake and Toyota Pixie are the same vehicle and are built by Daihatsu in Japan and the Toyota version is just a rebadged Daihatsu. This model has a 660cc Turbo 64ps engine that is used in many different Toyota & Daihatsu model.
This model come in automatic and is available in both 2WD or 4WD variants. They are all ULEZ/Clean air zone compliant and also are in the cheaper tax band. They also do around 45 miles per gallon.

2023 Stock Situation
We have plenty Ford Customs available but only SWB, some 170ps models and then later in the year lots of Automatic SWB models. On the Toyota Proace we only have 1 left and we are not planning on building anymore.
On Japanese campers we have unlimited supply of Toyota Alphard and Nissan Serena and we will have the first side converted Serena ready towards the end of March. We also have some Nissan Caravans on route from Japan as well.
