This is the Ford Transit Giant, based on a L3 “6” meter length version and the H3 which is the higher version. Please note this van is currently in development in Germany and the pictures below are of the actual camper but this is the pre production conversion so not finished yet.
The basic layout will be single driver and passenger swivel seats, behind it it will have 2 x single swivel seats which are on tracks and also removable within seconds. Above will be a drop down bed (hopefully electric) and the back we wanted to make sure it had space to have a proper bathroom and this has a door that closes off the back of the van to give a large bathroom and shower.
You will also see that the rear floor is raised and this is because the heating, fresh and waste water tanks are stored between the van floor and camper floor thus having better ground clearance and having the tanks on board is better in winter climates.
The Giant will have as standard large leisure battery, solar panels, outside gas BBQ point, hot water, large compressor fridge.
The base vehicle for the first model is based on a 4WD version and it also has a body kit so it really does look something different.
Extras on this include reversing camera, SAT-NAV, metallic paint.
We will add more pictures as it come along but it should be ready and back in the UK late May. Production starts in November and prices for a standard 2WD models will be around £55,000, the 4WD model with the body-kit will be around £65,000 but that will get a truly exclusive off road campervan.
